AMERICAN AND RUSSIAN INGENUITY:

During the middle of the space race in the 1960s, 
the american Space Administration (NASA) realized that 
astronauts would need to be able to write things while 
doing their duties in space and so they needed a pen 
capable of writing in the zero gravity of space. Of 
Course, a normal pen will not work because they all 
need gravity to function. 

After much research over a period of two years, they 
developed the “zero-g Astronaut Pen” at an enormous 
cost and a huge waste of dollars ($0.5 million).


The Soviet Union (USSR) had the same problem out in 
space......

.....but they gave their astronauts pencils!
