Note on the words "in / into / on / to": In English we have many words such as these to describe location but in Russian they have really just two words which are used in many contexts; they are: "F" (в) : in, into, at, on. "NA" (на): onto, towards. Note on the words "This / that / it": In English we use these words in almost every sentence but in Russian they are not so common because most nouns are male or female and not neuter like in English. Also in many contexts you need to omit "it" completely when translating to Russian. The translation of this word usually is: This / that / it: "eta" (ето). These / Those : "etee" (ети). Note on the word "for": There are three possible Russian equivalents of this word, depending on the context, so don't expect the third option (below) to always be appropriate as you have literally got a 33% chance of getting the right one. "na" (на) : onto / for "za" (за) : to / for "dlye" (для): for
Examples: Thanks for the lunch : "spaseeba za abyet". This is for her : "Eta dlye yeyo". I booked the table for 9 o clock. "ya zakazal stoleek na dyevit chasoff". I'll change it for a small one. "ya hachoo pomenyat eta na myensha rasmyer".
