~Moonrise in blue skies

On a stunning vista of deep blue skies, two the russian climbers prepare to abseil down the ravine to the river. Warm sun but a cold wind prevailed

After climbing up the rockface she seemed a little less enthusiastic about going back down again. Looks impressive though!

From the start, and with typical audacity, she chose the most difficult route up the ravine. Climbed with no trace of fear and abseiled down without hesitation!

~The first ascent

On the search for new routes up the rock-face it was often necessary to free the safety line from snags in the rocks. Nobody actually used the safety rope.

The first rock-face was not particularly high,but provided a few good challenges. Artiom also preferred going up than coming down.

This picture was just so cool that I took several shots of the moon hanging above the ravine while some mountaineers relaxed below.
