~Relaxing at the ravine

Many of our group relax in the beautiful sunshine while Artiom attempts a second route up the rockface.

No gloves, no fear and no brakes! The speed that I picked it up again shows how much I love this sport.

She's already a very accomplished outdoor sports girl and so had no problems abseiling down this rockface. Even chose not to use a helmet, wish I had done the same 'cos the helmet just looks stupid!

With considerable speed, Lucia ascends the higher rockface. Down in the gorge below can be seen the river where we are rafting and also the snow still hasn't melted despite the baking hot sun!

The first rock-face was not particularly high,but provided a few good challenges. The safety rope meant that I could be very daring.
