~High speed ascent

The race was on. The bets were done. Who could ascend the fastest without any concerns about safety...?

Still no fear, plenty of excitement and adrenalin high above the gorge. Pity about the stupid looking helmet though.

 

 

~Olisia abseils down 2nd time

In this picture she looks truly professional, with a very good angle to the cliff-face as she jumps downwards. Vera looks down and gives encouragement. (Another person without the dumb helmet!)

~Climbing above a river vista

With considerable speed, Lucia ascends the higher rockface. Down in the gorge below can be seen the river where we are rafting and also the snow still hasn't melted despite the baking hot sun!

 

 

~A sunbathing break

This photo gives an idea of how hot the sun was. With no wind we all got sunburned faces. Not the reason everyone looks so grim in this photo.

 

~Finally at the top

Olisia crests the top of the rock face, she is looking very happy maybe because of the adrenalin or maybe just from relief!?
